Perthshire Information

Perthshire Paperweights are grouped into three main categories.

The Perthshire Collection:  which consists of a small number of limited edition weights, these weights are usually lampwork, or a combination of lampwork and millefiori.  Occasionally some of the annual collection weights will be millefiori alone.  Most of the Perthshire Collection weights are signed and dated.

Limited Editions:  consisting of weights which have a pre-determined edition size.  Limited edition weights are normally signed and dated, and tend to be mainly of millefiori composition.

The General Range:  those weights which have a PP number designation and are almost exclusively millefiori.  General Range weights are produced over a number of years, although in some cases the actual contents and colours of the weights will change.

Paperweights which are also produced by Perthshire Paperweights independently of the main categories include:

Christmas Weight:  each year since 1971 (excluding 1973) Perthshire has produced a limited edition Christmas weight, all of the Christmas Weights are signed and most of them have been dated.  The Christmas Weights are usually a mixture of lampwork and millefiori.

Certificates and Packaging:  all Perthshire Paperweights with the exception of the General Range are issued with a separate certificate and presentation box.  The certificate provides information on the issue size, the specific number of the particular accompanying weight as well as the year of issue.
