This ivory carving is of a maiden carrying a basket of flowers in one hand and a single flower in the other.  She is wearing the traditional kimono with obi sash.  The cloth design is of bamboo and other flowers done nicely in scrimshaw.  She is 9.75" tall on a custom made wooden base.
